Latest Playscape News – More Funding!
We were delighted to discover that the local Parochial Charities have awarded us a grant of £5000 towards the project. We are now just an estimated £30k away from applying for the big grants for phases 2 & 3 (new pedestrian entrance, the car park extension and the top playground) and with the Shelford Fun Run around the corner we’re getting so close! If every runner raised just £50, we’d be there!

Come along and cheer on the runners on Sunday 17th September at the Great Shelford Rec, the race starts at 11am, but with coffee, cake, bacon rolls, ice-cream, and bouncy castles get there early to enjoy the morning!
Phase 1 (the copse) is also going strong. The SSYI and Playscape are putting some more dates in the diary to continue the work and we received £1000 from the South Cambs Community Chest to help pay for a new bridge across the ditch! So for those who can’t navigate the stepping-stones and logs, there should be a crossing just for you in the very near future.
