Happy New Year!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us last year, with a special shout out to Nicola and her family who raised £168 with donations from their wonderful Christmas Lights Display. We were also delighted to receive a generous gift of £1000 in December too, which we are very grateful for.

We started our January with a visit to London to meet with the Architects and Quantity Surveyor to work out the timeline for the next design and construction phases. The key actions are to establish if and how we can build over the main sewer that runs under the playground (!) and to get various soil tests done so that appropriate drainage can be specified and the technical drawings started.

Simultaneously we are pressing on with the task of fundraising for this ambitious project, with a dedicated group looking at grants. We’ll almost certainly need to raise more funds on top of these, so watch this space for a fundraising push!
